As an experienced wedding photographer I have been called upon to judge other photographers work for a photographic Society, mainly it is the “Licentiate” Panels we have seen, and whilst the overall work can be deemed as “good” there is more and more “shoddy work” to be seen and it makes me wonder why this is. The courses for “wannabe” wedding photographers are few and far between which is a bad thing because the only way people will learn is by practising on the unsuspecting Bride and Groom’s wedding. This is bad….very bad and from time to time “horror stories” about so called wedding photographers surface in the press. This conversation came up with other day as I spoke to my partner Andrea Barrett. So we decided to to do our bit and hold a couple of one day courses for people new to the industry and those who feel they need more help in refining their photography skills.
