A wedding at Weetwood Hall Leeds

Saturday the 2nd of July saw me at Weetwood hall in Leeds. “Weetwood wood is ideally place on the Leeds Ring Road and despite been only been a few yards from one of the busiest roads in Leeds, when you actually drive in to the grounds, you could be forgiven for thinking you were  in the middle of  the Yorkshire Countryside.

Joy and Mark booked me over a year before, and when they came to our studio in Bramley Leeds we immediately hit it off. Its really important that you get on well with your wedding photographer as it so helps on the day.

Mark and Joy had a surprise for their guests on the wedding day as they had booked a 1950′s Ice cream van to serve up, ice cream cones for all on the day. The day was a beautiful and the sun shone throughout, so having a cool refreshing ice cream kept “the man in the van” very busy. I have included some highlights of the day in the images below.

The Dubai Duo!!

Well I ve just had a complaint for Sarah who lives in Dubai but can still pester me from thousands of miles away in Dubai. She wanted to know why her wedding had not made it on to the “blog”. The reason being is that we shoot many many weddings a year and we have not got the time (sometimes) to fit everyone on the blog. As it happens though Sarah and Nic’s wedding at Waterton Park Hotel near Wakefield was one I would not forget. These two were just perfect for a wedding photographer, and  they made it so easy for me. Some people you get on with but Sarah and Nic were different and  I now class them as friends…I just waiting for the invite to Dubai, for that all expenses paid holiday.lol.

I always give the Bride and Groom praise, if they cooperate but on this occasion even the guests were a great crowd and behaved perfectly. I have to mention the colour scheme  Sarah chose (sunshine yellow) not an easy colour to theme your wedding to, says Sarah, but she sourced everything yellow that she could, and it looked fantastic. Have a look at the pictures below to see a few highlights of the day.

A wedding at Kingscroft Pontefract

All weddings are different, none are the same ever. Its one of the reason I love photographing weddings. Saturday was special for a few reasons. I had taken the wedding photographs of Angela sister ,Bev a few years ago and we had a much fun then as we did  last Saturday. The weather held out and we had a great time. I also had Sue from Gary and Sue Williams Photography, second shooting for me, which was a great honour and she did a fantastic job for me. (Thanks Sue). The whole day went like a dream and it didn’t seem like working to me. I felt like a guest which is the highest compliment I can give to Paul and Angela. Thanks Guys.

We were at Kingscroft in Pntefract which is a great place for a wedding photographer because it has everything a photographer need. Lovely grounds, fantastic views and a beautiful interior to work with. It even has its own helicopter pad, so if you want to arrive in style, then you have a perfect excuse.
