Wentbridge wedding photographer

The weather was perfect for a wedding last Saturday, well perfect for the guests and a bit too perfect” for me the photographer as it was a little bit too sunny but we worked round it.

Chris and Kerrie were a great couple to photograph, and the guests were just as good.

Kerrie and Chris had been into our studio a couple of weeks early to discuss all the aspects of the wedding. We always arrange this final consultation with all our “couples”. We go through timings, family situations and others things relevent to the wedding.

Kerrie went from her mum and Dads house in Rothwell and a local church in the same village. From there we drove the 20 minutes to Wentbridge . The couple arrived 10 minutes after we got there and we were ready and waiting for the happy couple. We only had an hour  to photograph all the guests, Bridal party, and the couple so we had to get our skates on.  We had also arranged to take Kerrie and Chris out after the speeches to take some more pictures. We always stay and cover the wedding up to the first dance so any shots that we feel that we have missed early, we can make up for it afterwards.

Later in the evening we played the Slideshow  presentation just before the first dance and it went down a storm.

Just a few Images of the day

Wedding Photographer at Rudding Park Hotel Harrogate

Yesterday’s wedding was at a the glorious Rudding Park Hotel just outside of Harrogate. “Rudding” is a favourite venue of ours, and we work there often.

Abbi is the owner of the prestigious ”Harrogate Brides” in Harrogate and ” Confetti and Lace” in Leeds, two large Bridal Boutiques that having a outstanding reputation in the industry.

Abbi and Martin were a photographers dream to photograph. The wedding was to be a low key affair, just fifty  family, staff, very close friends invited to the wedding. The idea was to go from Rudding with the guests on a vintage double decker bus to the Harrogate store, meet up with Abbi have champagne and canapes, have a few photographs taken of everyone, then back to Rudding for the wedding and the celebrations.

The weather was a bit overcast and it wasn’t long before the skies grew darker and the rain came down but as Rudding Park is a fantastic venue we didn’t have to worry about taking pictures outside because it’s just  as good inside, to take pictures.

The ride down to the premises was uneventful but the return journey was a bit scary as the bus decided to stop for a few minutes but we did eventually get back to Rudding without been late…phew.

Wet photographers attends Martin & Jenny’s Wedding at Waterton Park Hotel Wakefield

The weather on Saturday could be describes as “disappointing”  as the grey clouds dumped continuous amounts of rain down from the heavens. Well I suppose it can be expected in February although I ve seen worse days in August. Luckily it wasnt that cold and nobodies spirits seemed “dampened” by the whole.

I arrived with my assistant (Justin) at the Brides home and true to form the house was a hive of activity with Bridesmaids and flowers girls busy racing around. Everyone was naturally excited by the forthcoming wedding and Jenny looked stunning in her wedding dress and the Bridesmaids complemented her perfectly.  The  Father of the Bride  had a tear in his eye as he first saw his beautiful daughter in her dress for the first time but managed to keep his composure just enough to get through.

After we finished photographing the Bride and the maids we set off to see the Groom and the “Guys” at the church. We got there in time to ‘catch” one of the Ushers before he could escape to the local pub, so we quickly set up some pictures of Martin (Groom) and his entourage before anymore made a break for freedom!

Martin was relaxed and happy to do whatever was asked and even contributed by asking for certain pictures which was fine by us. Most of the pictures we took were “candids” although we did set up a couple of shots.

Jenny arrived on time and after the service at the church we all made a dash to the cars as the weather had got worse by this time. We got to Waterton Park Hotel first and got ready for the wedding photography. The ducks were blissfully unaware of the rain, although at this point the rain eased off just enough to get pictures of the B&G on the famous bridge.

Group shots were quickly held in the Libriary  but we managed to get the Bridal party outside and they had a great time of it, as you can see here.

The evening finished off with the slideshow of all the days highlights shown on a giant screen to all the evening guests which was  set to the couples favourite music, which I have to say went down really well, will lots of the guests remarking on it to the Bride and Groom.

Martin and Jenny were fantastic on the day and without their cooperation we could not have got the pictures we wanted, so well done you two.

The happy couple at now on Honeymoon and part of their itinerary includes a couple of days in Las Vegas which by sheer coincidence is where we will be at the same time. So we have planned to meet up and take some pictures there too. Not many  wedding photographers can say that they been invited to the Honeymoon can they!
